Yesterday there was a 21,000 gallon oil spill off the coast of Santa Barbara. This incident was dealt with quickly and clean-up is already underway. Mechanisms have been in place for some time to deal with these situations, so even though the media is milking this for all it’s worth, it’s not really as bad as it’s being made out to be. No one wants this to happen, but it’s good that it is being taken seriously and quickly. Don’t let the hype, hysteria, and overreaction fool you.
