Senator calls on the Coast Guard to keep ferry lanes open on frozen Hudson River.

It really gets old listening to loudmouth politicians and their diversionary tactics. The Coast Guard has been doing a phenomenal job with ever shrinking resources thanks to the political ruling class of which the Senator is a member. If he wants the Coast Guard to do more he should be giving them resources to do so, not laying blame at their feet over something he’s partly responsible for. We need leadership and not more divisional BS that does no one any good.
