Remain Calm

Planning is all well and good, but we need to be ready for the unexpected as well. And often, that requires no more than being able to remain calm under trying situations.

Darker

The days continue to grow shorter, which means it’s darker sooner. That being the case, make sure you’ve got working lights on your vessel. Be safe out there.

Relax

Hey, if you find that you’re working long and hard hours, remember that you also need some time to relax and reset. It’s good for your health.

Stay Warm

Fall brings colder weather, so it’s very important to stay warm, especially if you plan on being out on the water. Stay safe, have fun.

Emergency Supplies

Well, all it took was a Hurricane to remind us of the power of nature. She’s awesome and dangerous, so it’s important to have a healthy respect for what she’s capable of. That being said, it’s also important to be prepared for severe weather events and have some emergency supplies. Can’t hurt, right?

Check Ups

Just as it’s important to keep our vessels sea-worthy and give them check-ups and inspections, we need to need to do the same for ourselves from time to time. Good health goes hand in hand with good fun, so make time for check-ups.

Out on the water

Autumn is here folks. We love the change in seasons, though it often means less time on the water. We thought we’d chime in and remind folks to be safe and spend some time on the water before the days get too short.

#NeverForget

We don’t like to dwell in the past, but we thought we’d take a moment to acknowledge those that tragically lost their lives on this day, and pay our respects.

Relax

We’re in a new era, one where folks have forgotten how to relax and enjoy life. It really is a sad state of affairs. We here, at Harbor News, encourage folks to take a day off the grid every once in a while, get out on the water, and relax. It’s good for the soul.

Fall is approaching

With summer coming to an end and fall approaching, we’d like to remind folks to inspect their vessels before storing them away. Always a good idea to keep things in running order.
