Four men drowned off the California coast near Santa Barbara, none were wearing life vests. No one knows for sure, but there’s a good chance they’d survived had they been taking safety precautions as the water was relatively calm. Be safe out there folks.

Bilge Pads

The Santa Barbara Harbor Patrol Office offers free oil-absorbent bilge pads. This is to help prevent oil leaks, and prevent discharges into the harbor. If you’re in the area and need bilge pads you can contact their office at 805-564-5530.
