Is it just me, or is there something tragically wrong with a Captain Abandoning Ship? It certainly seems to be a symptom of our times. I know we still don’t have all the facts regarding the cruise ship that hit the rocks off the coast of Italy, but the news reports indicate that the Captain is more concerned with his own hide, and never mind the fact that people died on his watch.
I’m for him manning up and taking some responsibility for this tragic accident. But maybe that’s just me?
