Shooting in the dark

Thought I’d post something a little bit on the fun side. This was taken during the Independence Day celebration at the Santa Barbara Harbor. As you can see (lower left) there were lots of people out with their cameras shooting the fireworks.

Interim Waterfront Director

Congratulations to Scott Riedman, who has been named the Interim Director of the Santa Barbara Waterfront Department. Mr. Riedman brings considerable experience to the job, having served as the Waterfront Business Manager which has overseen the financial management of the department, as well as parking operations, Stearns Wharf, and tenant relations.

Happy Surfing

Today is John Bridley’s last day as the Santa Barbara Waterfront Director. We wish him lots of great surfing in his retirement. Thank you for your service to the community.

Harbor Patrol Officers Receive Award

The National Weather Service has a wind advisory in effect for the Santa Barbara County area through 9:00 pm tonight. That means you need to be extra careful on the road and on the water. Be safe folks.
