It’s parade day at the Santa Barbara waterfront. Should be a spectacle of nautical fun and fireworks afterwards. If you’re in the area, bundle up and come on down.

The Navy’s in Town

The Navy’s visiting Santa Barbara this weekend. We owe a lot to the young men and women who volunteer to protect our freedoms. If you see any Navy personnel out and about, please say hi and thank them for their service.

USS Milius (DDG 69)

This USS Milius is visiting Santa Barbara, California. Ship tours will be held from November 12th – 14th. You may make reservations for a public tour by calling Sea Landing @ 805-963-3564. For more information see the Santa Barbara Navy League website.

Minnow Cafe

The Minnow Cafe located in the Santa Barbara harbor is now closed. Brophy Bros. in now serving light breakfast fare at its downstairs location.

Tsunami Information Workshop

The City of Santa Barbara will host a community information meeting on Wednesday, October 26, 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the Cabrillo Arts Pavilion, 1118 E. Cabrillo Boulevard, to discuss the installation of tsunami signs. The signs will be installed starting in November.
