We live in a exciting era (technology wise), and when I find something useful I like to share. This morning in looking for nautical maps I ran across Live Ships Map with is a lot of fun, and useful too.
Nautical history is fascinating, especially the era of the tall ships. This month Channel Islands Harbor will be having a Tall Ship Festival, from June 24th through June 26th. If you’re in the area, it’s a great chance to see these beautiful vessels.
Do you like outdoor movies and fresh air? Movies on Stearns Wharf make their return next Friday, June 17th. Bring the family out and enjoy the show.
Today is National Marina Day… visit one if you can. They’re full of life and lots of history.

Congratulations to Ocean Springs, Mississippi, who have just opened their new Harbormaster’s Office. The previous office was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.
Ran into this photo gallery on the 50 Best Yachting Towns on the Yachting Magazine website. There aren’t 50 towns pictured yet, but I expect that to change. I think this is a great idea, and am looking forward to seeing more images.
