Ran into this photo gallery on the 50 Best Yachting Towns on the Yachting Magazine website. There aren’t 50 towns pictured yet, but I expect that to change. I think this is a great idea, and am looking forward to seeing more images.

Here’s a little nautical history…. The Queen Mary’s maiden voyage was on May 27, 1936. Happy 75th! She served as a military vessel from March 1940 – September 1946. She now calls Long Beach California her home.
For those of you in New York, Freeport will be having its Nautical Mile Festival on Saturday, June 4, 2011. Looks like a fun event.
Today is Memorial Day. A day to give thanks to those who sacrificed everything and put others before themselves.
The National Weather Service has a wind advisory in effect for the Santa Barbara County area through 9:00 pm tonight. That means you need to be extra careful on the road and on the water. Be safe folks.
