Clean oceans are a nice thing and something to strive for, but we need to keep in mind that not all we see in the sea was caused by us. Case in point was the oil slick floating on the seas just off the Goleta, California coast. That was the work of nature, it was natural seepage coming up from the ocean floor and there are processes at work beyond our current understanding. That being said, it is still important to be good stewards of our environment, but not to panic over everything. Some things are just beyond our control.
